Well yor likely killed him on mars because that's where yor committed several crimes and left his ghost. So yor may be the one who buried it.

Actually yor killed him in a crucible match he led plahnin around the map until he was right behind him then replaced the fake crucible bullets in his gun with reall rounds and killed him and the reason his ghost couldn't revive him is because when thorn kills someone it devours their light and kills them entirely

Wait. Where in lore does it say this? Also, I was under the impression we were using real bullets in crucible, we just relied on ghosts to revive each other.
