If you stream for money shame on you. Gaming should be a hobby not a job. You people begging for money make me sick. I don't know what's worse the people streaming for money or the idiots who donate to them?
While you're sitting on your ass fighting aliens you have little kids fighting cancer. Shame on you...

Gaming is getting bigger and bigger and its due to things like twitch and you tube. Its not ruining it. You just seem real upset some people make a living from gaming and I don't understand people like you, o really dont.
-
Chill out grandpa
-
I personally don't understand why someone would watch a steamer and definitely don't understand why they would pay. Only times I ever have watched are to see what games look like for 5 minutes lol
-
Streaming is also a hobby tho
-

-
OMG that was such a great story! Do you have time to tell it again? Do you?
-
You said that streaming for money ruins gaming, but didn't say how
-
One last point do you realize that there are 100's of streams every week netting thousands of dollars for charities, for vets, kids, and cancer. I guess shame on those streamers right?
-
You buy a fancy car because it's what you like, you buy a big tv, big house, nice clothes, and movies, as well as pay for cable because it's what you enjoy! Everyone buys items or spends money on shit that entertains them. Well gamers enjoy watching gamers play their favorite game and sometimes spend hours watching so its only right they tip, although never necessary it helps support the streamer. Just like paying Netflix, going to the cinema, or watching tv, the money supports the entertainers! Get over it,
-
It's always the people who pay that are worse.

Edited by That_McV: 6/7/2015 3:52:26 PMThe money they earn from donations is used to keep the stream going. Not buy them a big house, not so they can live a nice life. It's just to keep the stream going. Most of them are sponsored, they get played similar to how people get paid on YouTube (and most of the have YouTube channels as well), they also run ads whitch sometimes gives them money. And sometimes give Twitch some money. The ads, the sponsorship, and YouTube is what gives them money. And most of them are married. Trying to do whatever the can to support their family's. Must Be Working Out For Them.

why the fck are these retards still defending these begging trust fund lazy kids sitting on their ass filming themselves as if it was a real job? Is everyone on this forum a 11 year old kid? Like wtf
-
The idiots who donate are the f@ggots who make streamers famous.

Edited by Its Very Legit: 6/7/2015 7:01:32 AM*gets a $125 tip* "Thanks so much for supporting the stream man...." Who has that much money to give someone for playing a video game. It's mind boggling.
-
STFU thank you
-
They can't do it forever. Eventually they will have to get a job. And streamer doesn't mean much to most people. Although Darksyde phil seems to con alot of gullible people on a daily basis.
-
Let's be honest, it's a weird way to make a living, but if they can do it well good for them.
-
You're a moron :D

Edited by CaVeMOnkeY17: 6/7/2015 11:24:44 AMIt's people that post on forums ragging on peoples choice in what to spend their entertainment time and money on that are ruining the gaming community.
-
I cant even.... Waste of my time
-
Also just out of interest how is streaming negatively affecting the gaming industry? Is it slowing game development? Is it directly making any game worse? I can't see how the games being observed alter the game play? This isn't quantum physics!

I post on the forums for money. Donors pay me money for me to post mine and their opinions on these topics. It's awesome! This post alone has netted me $20 bucks easily.
for more information on this topic, I will need another ten dollars.
I don't agree. I started watching WishYouLuckk when he was playing Watch Dogs. By watching him I got better at the game, moved quite high in the online rankings and had a load more fun playing the game because of him. Also watching him was really entertaining. I donated to him because I got value out of his stream and I wanted to help him keep going. I make music for a living, one of those jobs that a lot of people do as a hobby. But if you are really passionate about something you should go for it and make it your life. A 9-5 isn't for everyone. It's not easy for them to build their fan base. There is a lot of competition out there and those who make it probably deserve to be there. Why hate?
-
The idiots who donate to them are to blame. I hate steamers who talk, they're usually annoying little bitches*
