The Thorn is not fine, what makes it broken? The fact that if you go against one and you [b][u]WIN[/u][/b] you still die, and that is not alright. If they made it so past 1-5% health the DoT can't kill you then the gun would be perfectly fine. This would eliminate the ridiculous 2 hit ability of the gun and require a third hit to kill and would also eliminate the very rare 1 hit headshot ability as well. The Thorn is far from balanced if you believe it's fine as it is then you are blind and ignorant like a child.

I've noticed that the two hit kills from thorn are two head shots. When you shoot someone com it takes more than two rounds, and even then the poison doesn't always kill you. I agree that it can be out gunned by so many other weapons, like the vex, suros and red death. Thorn users have a hard time standing up to players using those weapons, so I think the thorn is fine the way it is.

Its not just people using those weapons that the have a hard time with. A good deal of the time they end up in higher MM brackets because they use the weapon as crutch and get there asses kicked by players who know what there doing and are generally more skilled.

Hmm, makes sense when you put it that way. I have no idea how mm works, so I wouldn't think having certain weapons equipped would factor into the equation. Lately, I've put my thorn to rest so I can get better with other weapons, and not rely on it; but I haven't really noticed a difference in the other team's skill level. Still though, I do good on some, and bad on others. It also depends on your teammates doing well.

True not every player uses it as a crutch. Though I have seen some do really really bad with thorn.

I do one head shot and a body shot, they die shortly after to the DoT. My problem isn't with that either way, my problem is with the DoT killing me even though you beat the person using the gun. I don't care if you wreck my shit and I die, kudos but if I wreck your shit and I still die ? That's retardation and poor game mechanics.

I have easily killed more people that are using thorn than people using thorn have killed me. If you are getting killed by thorn that much you are doing something wrong.

That's the point I am not getting beat by the Thorn, I kill the people using Thorn but die anyway... That is the damn problem.

Than you are getting beaten by the guy using the thorn, so if you are getting killed by it that much you are doing something wrong.
