Thorn is a good weapon for those with a hand cannon preference, an affinity for that class of weapons. I have a thorn, 348 with mark of the devourer (Equipped on titan in prep for IB for next free space.) Do I use it often? Not really, just getting one elight, then ascending my Super Pox VLO and using that. From then on in, will always carry my super pox. Thorn is a hand cannon, and this who don't use hand cannons will find it harder to use. I personally find my super pox shutting down most these guys, 4th round, perfect balance, outlaw...I see dead people.
