Just because someone hits 34 doesn't mean they're not living or have any life balance. If a person had so much balance they wouldn't really care about hitting the max level in a game. And if time is of the essence then prioritize modes that give you guaranteed etheric with minimal time or shut up. It's not that serious to go at ppl about how they live. Some ppl play games & go to work & have a family. They're still 34. It doesn't take that long to obtain. If you suck at the game then play something else. If you're so busy living just get the drops whenever you play. Don't try to ruin a game you play casually because you want all the rewards for playing by getting on for 2 hours. I understand ppl have lives but those ppl also don't care if they're max level. Play for fun. Don't try ruin or expedite the experience because you want it when you want. That's not cool and not fair to us alpha & beta players. We had to grind every week for ascendant shards & be happy with getting 32 from hard atheon just to get to 30. Now guys just get on the game & can hit 32 just from buying armor that they don't need shards for. They don't understand how much of a grind this game was from the start. It's what keeps ppl playing & what drives them away. Now we have ppl complaining it's too hard to get etheric light so what...You want Xur to sell it for motes or strange coins to make it even easier so you can hit 34 and stop playing because you hit 34 so fast?? Chill.

I've got a 34 bud, this doesn't affect me. I just think it's a joke how presumptuous and Narcissistic people can be when faced with a polarising opinion, I've been here as long as you have.

No where near narcissistic. I understand ppl have other things to do than play this or any game aimlessly for hours. Whether it's for fun or cool guaranteed gear or rewards. That's why I stopped raiding because it would take 2 hours for shards and etc. But The Arena isn't that. You get a guaranteed weapon. Piece of armor & etheric if you can play for about 2 hours. The 2 hours I used to spend raiding I now spend doing 3 Arena runs and ppl are still complaining. I don't understand it. That's my problem. Ppl say it's not fun but they still play....I don't get it... Not to mention 1 arena run only takes about 30 minutes depending on your team. No raid was ever this fast.

Pfft. Myself and my team could run Crota in 30 minutes. VoG about 50. I understand where you're coming from, but it's not reasonable to pile everyone who's concerned about the lack of Etheric light, as many get stuck in the 33 rut. Few take 33's for 34 POE anymore, and that's a joke. People try and start their own groups and can't get past the final wave, get frustrated and leave. It's a shitty cycle for them and I can understand how they feel. Not everyone's situation is the same.

And as you say everyone's situation isn't the same for the arena. The same applies for Raids. I could rarely find a team to run Crota that fast so kudos to you. VoG was actually easier. But you still run into ppl who can't run relic or be sword bearer, want "all 32s with gjallarhorn" etc etc. Now as a 34 I can run sword & take Crota with 2 swords. Normal in 1. But before the DLC I stopped running because of ppl dying and rage quitting. It's not easy to get a "team" of 6 players raid. Not to mention, I just got my only gjallarhorn from The Arena level 28 so you can imagine the struggle in finding a team for Crota even as a Hunter who can run sword. It was taking up too much of my gaming time/drops so I stopped trying to raid & just enjoying other aspects such as crucible, which I hate playing alone but it's matchmade and strikes which are repetitive but they're match made. The Arena is 3 guys & the 28 is match made so you can essentially get help from them. I'm not sociable at all but I can ask 2 guys for help over 5. All I'm really saying is guys complaining about etheric light being scarce ALREADY. It's only week 1. It'll drop. This thread is really all about the OPs impatience rather than a solution to a problem. For now the guaranteed drop rate of etheric light is fine. For those who can't find a team to do The Arena...welcome to the struggle some of us had to face trying to do hard VOG & Crota. The cycle will be the same next DLC as well. It's a game you have to find ways to play with a group. There are plenty of 33s doing 34 & there are even 34s willing to help 33s. It's still not like trying to find 5 other cohesive raiders. Random or a team that all plays at the same time.

OP isn't impatient, he's pointing out that sources of etheric light are hard, and even borderline impossible at times to access due to how poorly Bungie has executed POE.
