This post is bad. How is something rare when you can potentially get 6 guaranteed every week assuming you do the lvl 34 and 35 PoE? Also you can get it from nightfall and trials? Rare? No. Does it take a little time, effort, and skill to get? Yes.

You're talking about running as many characters through as many game modes as you can possibly muster on a perpetual basis. One of my biggest complaints about Destiny is the seeming design expectation that players are expected to grind out every aspect of the game on three characters eternally. $&+: that.

It's not that hard and doesn't take that long with good skill and a good team. You can run these activities easily in a day or two timeframe. 35 PoE will pose some challenges but that's expected, it's the hardest activity to complete but people still find a way to do it with ease.

That doesn't change anything. Easy or not it's still perpetually grinding out the same repetitive content x3 eternally. I'd like to see what design changes would make their way into the game if everybody was limited to one character because the game appears to be designed to push players to actively run three.

After playing through the base game and TDB I've come to realize that destiny simply isn't a game that can be played causally, and if you attempt to do so you should be prepared to put yourself at an extreme disadvantage. This was my main reason for intentionally skipping out on HoW, because I knew that the never ending grind would continue. If you have a lot of spare time on your hands, Destiny is a great game to play with clan mates. But truth be told you cannot simply play destiny in a casual manner such as battlefield or call of duty, without hindering your progression dramatically and being seen as a "slacker," "leech," or a "freeloader." Destiny's new loot looks nice, but I just can't take the grind anymore.

Sounds to me like your just a casual gamer. Maybe something like Madden is more up to your speed.

Edited by Sylvestris: 5/28/2015 2:45:49 PMYeah, I've never touched a Madden game, don't plan on starting now. Something for you to consider: whether you deem me casual or not is irrelevant, what I desire for the game (actual depth of content) is of benefit to everyone in the game. If everybody was restricted to a single character Bungie would have to increase the depth of content to keep players engaged. As it stands right now it's doing the same thing over and over again, grind grind grind. I enjoyed much of the new content for HoW and I don't desire to make myself sick of it, such as with Dark Below, by running it ad naseum. I'd rather keep the positive impressions and memories.

Well that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I see things differently, and in my opinion this game would absolutely suck if there was only one character. I enjoy doing things on 3 different characters each week, yea it's the same thing and it is a grind for some people. For other people, it's just easy and they find a way to make it exiting for them.

And there's the arrogant dust-off in lieu of an actual rebuttal. Thank you for showing us how to concede an argument in the least graceful way possible.

Well said.

Your a fag. That's an arrogant brush off :)

Caustic, snarky, name-calling. You really can't hold a discussion, can you?
