Thorn is the only gun "untouched" by the updates, it's the only true original day one weapon, actually it used to suck, it used to be a 6-7 shot kill worse than auto rifles

This is false. It was always a two shot kill. It used to have six shots in the chamber and had a very slow reload, so it was regarded as a bad gun.
