I don't understand why more people don't use the BKGS. I've tried upgrading other weapons and nothing comes close to it's damage in it's class. I wanted something different because I already used the hell out of it on the PS3. I don't like UGSs because they're too slow and I like having the thrust. I do use an UGS with lightning damage for some bosses.

I personally don't like it because it has split damage between physical and fire, and scales equally off strength and faith, requiring a decent investment in 2 stats to get the scaling another weapon would with a single stat with an A scaling. That said, if you're a strength/faith build and can afford the 20 DEX required, it's a great weapon.

Yeah, that's the thing I hate. I was going to go strength/faith but I like crystal soul spears too much. I had to waste points in faith to use the sword. I tried upgrading the Drakeblood Greatsword because the damage looked similar. I still get about 100 more damage from BKGS.
