Pve is awesome but it's pvp is a bit broken. Hitbox is just stupid in pvp but beside that it's a great game even for pvp. Just don't heal in a one on one match...exept if they invade at a bad time or use npc to fight you. I also got the app if you wonder about weapons or armor or covenants. Also "Lenny of astoria" has stared a group for people who loves the souls game.

I was in the same position as you and I went out on a limb and got it... Quickly turned into one of my favourite games! Looks great on the new consoles, a lot more difficult with the new enemy placements. Well worth the $60 considering all 3 dlcs are included

Oh yes it is must buy. Those that say Dark Souls 1 is much harder are a bit wrong. They think it is harder but in reality the only main difference is bonfire frequency and the polished mechanics. Dks1 was hard because the mechanics weren't quite there yet.

I never realized how few bonfires there were in the first one.

Have you played DS2 for PS3/360?

Nah gonna go in blind I guess

Well if you're completely new to the souls series and love a challenge (and by challenge I mean steep learning curve for combat, and there is no hand holding, they don't tell you where to go or what you're suppose to do, it's about exploration and figuring stuff out), I would highly recommend this game. If you've played DS1, this will be a cake walk. Either way I would highly recommend it.
