After further inspection of sone of LMGs it seems that the breech is intact showed higher than where the barrel is and the bullets would have to go go down some ramp to come out the barrel and that is odd. But hey, maybe the bullets are malable upon fire to make thr transition until they exit the barrel and harden in flight. Idk.

  • Actually, I've since rescinded my comments on the LMGs. Another poster opened my eyes on that one, but I'm not one to edit my comments. I stand by my words, mistaken or not. Most belt-fed machine guns do, in fact, feed above the barrel. The mechanism removes rounds from the belt in a backward motion, where the tip drops into place, and then they're pushed into the chamber. The empty belt is fed out the opposite side, while the spent casings are ejected from the bottom. I still stand by my opinion that the design of the Hand Cannons and Scout rifles make absolutely no sense.
