Titans have arguably the most useful exotic though. Ruin wings, so acting like Titans got the shaft when they have Ruin Wings is ridiculous. Gjallarhorn + Ruin wings, put that on a defender titan with WoL and you can destroy everything while heavy ammo rains from the sky.

Ruin wings always work for *Someone*. If i have ruin wings on and i am getting cometely nothing, all i hear on the mic is "holy shit, all this heavy". They help one person on the team, and it usually isnt the holder

  • Lmao no stop it. Defender titan with Helm of Saint 14 and you can truck through every level of PoE. Only reason i beat Skolas on 35.

  • Helm of Saint-14 is really good as well but it isn't the end all for Titan exotics. The real reason Helm of Saint-14 is good is you get supers up every minute or so, could be less because of how broken Inverse Shadow is. Not very many helmets in the game have raw INT and Inverse Shadow.

  • Saint 14 with blessing is the best setup for a defender titan in PoE. Not counting any new exotics. You get bubbles up fast, and have the perk for keeping it up longer and blessing, you can almost never die. At least how I play. I am very good with this setup.

  • Because of Etheric Light, you are able to get 42 light VoG helms and CE helms. Both can have inverse shadow and Raw INT, easier with the VoG helm as its inverse shadow is static. Combine this with Ruin wings you have the effectiveness of Saint-14 with augmented heavy ammo drops and faster melee. Which, for Titans at least you should always run a INT/STR build. Of course, it is a bit harder to get a 34 right now with ruin wings currently. You would pretty much have to get the chest from Osiris in order to do this.

  • No what makes saint 14 amazing is its ability, not how fast you get bubbles. Yea it's good, but having over shields and blinding anything that walks in for a good amount of time, is far more useful in POE. And everywhere else. I haven't taken my saint off since I put it on. I have every titan exotic and those are the most useful and keep me alive the most. You get super energy from everything, plus blinding, plus over shields every time you walk back into the shield. Have it set to maximum time and it is the ultimate defensive setup.

  • Ever hear the phrase the best defense is a good offense? Sure, a defensive build helps you stay alive but it does not encourage proactive play, it is like a safety net. It is viable but not the end all concerning builds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rNe2jbD6BQ

  • You obviously have no idea how I play. Nearly every round I finish in first with the majority of the kills. I know how to play my titan more effectively than a lot of people.

Yeah I said the defensive build is viable but not the end all concerning builds. However concerning Skolas himself you pretty much always want to run Weapons on WoD because of the extra 25% damage it provides. edit: Of course Blessing does provide much more security, so if you aren't confident you won't be killed by the time you pump out all your rockets I can definitely see people running that.

  • I run an orb generator Defender with Ruin Wings for heavy kill orbs and specifically go after mobs with heavy instead of the boss, max strength for melee kill orbs, and make sure to pop blessings bubbles for another 5 orbs thanks to Gift of the Void. I do a much, much better support role running this compared to Saint-14.

  • Well when it doesn't glitch which is like 90% glitch and 10% work properly for me

  • Yes and no. Ruin Wings, when they work, is incredibly powerful. As you said, Gjallarhorn for days. When they work. The problem is that you're just as likely to hit a dry spell where you don't see any heavy ammo drop. Ruin Wings are very feast or famine.

  • yeah, no other item in the game directly modifies an ammo type both it's probability of dropping and how much you get. Even if you get a few drops it is more efficient because it has Surplus imbedded in with the perk, and it stacks with the weapon variant of surplus.

  • Not many people actually realize you get more ammo per box. Most just assume they aren't working when heavy ammo isn't literally coating the ground. I tried to explain to someone once that the main focus of the perk is more ammo per box overall, but they were arguing the perk only increases ammo drops and that I don't know anything.
