Just change burlesque to satire.
Burlesque may have completely different definition, but most people associate it strip clubs and lewd acts. Nobody is going to associate it with how you want it associated, therefore your argument is invalid.
You're smarter than all of us, you win a cookie. #satire

No, it means exactly what it should mean. There is no reason to change it. What "most people associate it with" is irrelevant and doesn't change the words definition.

bur·lesque bərˈlesk/ noun 1. an absurd or comically exaggerated imitation of something, especially in a literary or dramatic work; a parody. "the funniest burlesque of opera" synonyms: parody, caricature, satire, lampoon, skit, farce; More 2. a variety show, typically including striptease. "burlesque clubs" I should have done more research. Still my 'assumed' meaning is actually a second definition of the word much along the lines of your first. You're still at fault since all you did was type the word, it's completely out of context, so logically it can be taken either way, the most common understanding being the 2nd one presented.

It's out of context the same way writing satire is. Its literally the same concept.

So what you mean by that statement is that you are saying Sidearms should be primaries? Because that's what that sentence is coming across as.

Edited by S0ulBearer: 5/20/2015 8:56:38 PMHow did we go from satire to real thread?

I dunno, I'm confused as shit now. Debates by text are so stupid...

Idk, this thread is just parody from boredom. Idk why this was taken so seriously. I Mean "sidearms should be primaries" just sounds ridiculous. Which was the point.
