I don't think Bungie intended players to grind the chests at all. The only reason they haven't nerfed it is because it brought some players back for a couple days (like me) and gave their loyal YouTubers something to post. However, you definitely lasted much longer than I did grinding. I could only stomach it for 30 mins.
