DONE with this "treasure key" BS!
Like many of you, I spent countless hours this weekend grinding the "wolves" events in search of treasure keys. It was fun for about the first hour or two... but after that it was irritating beyond belief.
I found 2 keys and 2 legendary engrams.... and a shit ton of blue engrams.
I can't believe they actually thought this would be a good idea or fun for us players. HoW isn't even out yet and I'm already feeling completely let down. The mindless idiocy of running back and forth between 2 spots on a map... fighting the same fight over and over and opening chest after disappointing chest.... is this a sign of what the rest of the DLC is going to be like?
I'm sure many of you will disagree with me and that's likely because these forums are filled with a lot of people who will be fans of the game no matter how much it goes to shit.
Anyway... If I'm doing a patrol bounty and stumble across a wolf event, I'll stop and do it... but beyond that... I'm DONE with that tedious grind!

I was feeling a little down because I haven't gotten a single key for the entire weekend, I check in my vault and I had 3, much happiness soon followed. So now I have 3 keys, 3 stacks each of planetary materials, Max Glimmer, and a sh*t ton of blues. Yeah, I'm content :)

If you want rewards go play salvage, new dlc guns are dropping with some great stats. I got a shotgun and a sniper earlier and my friends got a few guns too lol. I spent all day Saturday farming the stupid chests and only managed to get 2 keys and a couple legendary engrams -.-

It's players like yourself who will be crying in two weeks because they did everything the first week. The DLC hasn't even dropped yet and you are trying to complete everything, just play the game, you have plenty of time to get all the new stuff before the next DLC drops. I'm pretty sure that's COMET in SEPTEMBER, for the love of GOD!

The new thing seems to be teams of players camping on the best places to farm chests like the skywatch and defending it like it is turf. I was just doing patrol earth bounty and wound up in sky watch so figured I would hang out to do a round of the chest but was also constantly being given the run around by annoying team defending the area for themselves. Anyone remember day one guys waving pointing at chests for otehrs reviving players at the events. Well it is now officially back to Destiny as usual. A hand full of jerks trying to pile up loot cause that is what the game is about in their pea sized brains.

I rarely have that much time. I just farmed when doing bounties and got 6 in about 3 plus hours total since Friday

You don't like grinding games, but you play destiny? That's weird. Anyways I have 17 keys, just make sure to hit every chest 3-5 times.

Well I wouldn't hold it against bungie because they didn't mean for people to be farming the chests it was supposed to be a reward that you get when you run into one while patrolling this has turned into another loot cave and that isn't bungies fault.

The only reason they haven't nerfed it is because it brought some players back for a couple days (like me) and gave their loyal YouTubers something to post. However, you definitely lasted much longer than I did grinding. I could only stomach it for 30 mins.
