A star I think. We count on stars as steady friends because they always rise and always shine but a star's a delicate truce: an explosion caught by its own mass so that it can't erupt and can't collapse. Thus I imagine the state of the machine might be. But one force or another has gone awry and now it rests here, snuffed and broken, waiting for the two rival forms of ruin to be set in balance again.
This is a quote from the last paragraph of the mysteries 2 grimoire, which I will be analyzing today.
Now it talks of a stars being steady friends, something we can count on. The machine, which I believe as Rasputin, is the steady friend, that caught itself by his own mass, meaning when he shut himself down in the darkness 1 Grimoire, and now he rests, waiting for the two rival forms to be balanced again, the darkness and the light.
Now does this mean Rasputin can't help us again? Do we need to help the traveler so his/her sacrifice wasn't in vain?
Also the start says "ingress(the way I know this) via(from) dreams alone"
Whose dreams are these
This has been Jcaf8 bringing you a grimoire explanation, please state your opinion below
To keep going, as this was made in May, I also think that this may be rasputin looking into the device, a FWC and exo stranger/maya sanduresh device that can cross dimensions/timelines. It could also be a thoughtonaut warlock like pujari looking at what they saw. Either way i think its a perspective of rasputin, the deep/darkness, and the traveler

Subroutine Ikelos needs to be completed in order to obtain the Sleeper Simulant. Ikelos is the God of Dreams in Greek Mythology. I wonder what dream simulation needs to be completed in order to fully awake Rasputin.

Hmmm.... I did this pretty weakly

Nice job, just a little more of your theory and what you think Rasputin is and why he did what he did

I wish there were more lore theories in the forums and less talk about Thorn and Gjallerhorn.

The dreams are not alpha lupi's by the way, those dreams are written in a different way.

Back in a tick.

I had always assumed that this card was talking about the Traveler. The 'Ingress via dreams alone." part makes me think of the Dreams of Alpha Lupi which are about the Traveler. Then there's the whole star metaphor. If a star either overcomes (supernovas) or succumbs to (implodes) it is no longer a star (well, neutron stars and brown dwarf stars are stars, but nothing like the light and life giving Sol). The balance between energy expenditure and gravity (light and dark) need to be brought back into balance for the star (Traveler) to return to what it once was.

If you did like it but decided not to bump that is totally fine
