Vex non-stat PvE only buff + cosmetic idea

Sounds good. Vex for shields and burns.

This would make it OP. I posted why below.

Heh, more humiliation options in the crucible.

Bungie originally stated when the game came out that they wanted the Vex Mythoclast to be the best endgame PvE weapon. Right now with the ammo and accuracy problems, and more-than-common solar damage type, it is a little lackluster. I was thinking, as a buff to the gun and a cool cosmetic effect, add all 3 damage types (toggleable of course, not simultaneously) to the gun similar to aspect swap on Murmur. The cosmetic effect would be to change the scope and LED's on the gun to match the damage type selected (also similar to Murmur). Arc type would be light sky blue, Void deep purple, and solar orange(like the lights are currently). Being able to choose your damage type would make this weapon a lot more useful endgame, as plenty of great weapons like icebreaker or Gjallarhorn already do solar damage, and who would pick the Mythoclast over a Gjally given the choice? The ability to choose means you could customize it to the enemy's shield type or burn modifiers. The type would have no effect in PvP (except for how you want your victims to look while they disintegrate) since no damage multiplier exists on guardians shields. Comment your thoughts below.

  • Not a terrible idea, but it would mean other element weapons would be used less..I for one, like to use a variety of weapons. The Vex isn't really all that great to begin with.. It eats up ammo like crazy..
