I'll tell you what. Let's nerf the hand cannons. Then when the vex an red death are all that's left to be op and nothing can stop them, let's nerf pulse rifles an the vex too. Then Midas op, so let's nerf scout rifles. Then when nothing can compete against snipers, we will go ahead an nerf those. But wait, fusion rifles are one hit kill an plan c kinda snipes, so we can nerf those. Oh but shotguns do too much damage, we need to nerf those. But special ammo shows up too much. No problem, we are removing special ammo from the crucible. But what about heavy? Well nothing can compete against rockets, so let's nerf those. But now nothing can compete against heavy machine guns, we can nerf those. You know what, we're just gonna remove heavy ammo from the crucible. But shit, after all these friggin nerfs, hand cannons like thorn an last word will have become top tier again. See a pattern? Just quit crying, before you destroy crucible one nerf at a time.

  • Melee attacks would be ridiculously powerful after all those weapon nerfs. It should probably be nerfed to tickling.

  • My logic makes sense. Auto rifles already got a huge nerf in both pvp and pve. With the way these posts are going, hand cannons will be next. An then pulse, then scouts, and so on.

  • It started making sense then you just pushed it way too far.

  • My point was made. It makes sense. People are already saying to nerf final round. People want felwinters nerfed. People want plan c to be nerfed. I've seen posts about gjallys cluster bombs being nerfed in crucible. Thunder lord should not arc explode me from across the map nerf posts. If anyone knows bungie, they rarely, if ever, nerf just one gun. My post represented every weapon that's ever been asked for a nerf by people.

  • I just want an balanced pvp, or as close as possible to that.

  • Playing the wrong game, mate. Any MMO or MMO like game never has balanced pvp. I enjoy having different guns that can do different shit. Like red death healing you, or invective getting ammo back, or thorns poison, or Suros with focused fire, or gjally with cluster bombs to give you double down on one rocket. I love it. I wouldn't be opposed to, however, a gametype added in where if you weren't into that, you could start off with different loadouts with the same weapons with the same advantage as everyone else. Not having this I feel is what makes destiny unique, and what makes me feel awesome when I can use the weapons i grinded so hard to try and get drop, then spend forever leveling them up to make them powerful. Whether I'm killing aliens, or other players. I want to be my own guardian how I choose. But adding a gametype would be a simple solution.

  • I may be wrong, but I feel pointless hate and arguments on here is why a lot of problems don't get fixed too quickly. We are supposed to be a community working together to truly make this game great, and yet we point fingers and insult each other, and call each other scrubs. Instead of saying thorn needs a nerf and arguing about it, why not ask your fellow guardians what they use to combat it. Even say you don't like hand cannons and see what they say. Then try out their suggestions. Or ask if anyone would be willing to help you get better at crucible by showing you good team work to combat thorn an other weapons. There are tons of great people out there who would gladly help. May be hard to find through all the poison(sometimes I think it's us guardians who are the true thorns) but they are out there. Take the time to seek them out and have fun with others, rather than argue and be angry at them.

  • I hear this. I used to dislike handcannons, until I started using them. Then I thought I would give the thorn bounty a shot. It took some grinding but I got it. Now I get to use it in pvp and it's awesome. Then you hear "nerf handcannons, nerf thorn". I've said it before and I'll say it again. All guns are available to everyone if you want to grind to get them. Why punish the weapon because someone made the choice to not have it?
