Whenever I run a matchmade activity, people dont even have mics, let alone speak. This actually holds true across almost every game I've ever played online, barring SnD in CoD, and thats because the trolls and weirdos flock to that gametype (odd, but hey its fun so I guess thats why).
Fact is, everyone seems to think that with MM, everyone will magically acquire mics and use them. Last I heard that was what would happen if universal gamechat was added. Funny thing, it didnt. All it did was break party chat on XB1 for about a month.
Heres the thing, someone who is willing to go through the oh-so-strenuous task of lifting their phone, leaving a short post on a website and then waiting a few minutes for messages/invites, is also the kind of person willing to utilise their mic. Think of it as a filter for the lazy. With random mm there is no such thing. Only deafening silence.
Im not against it being put in. I just feel that those asking for it are expecting too much from the general gaming wilderness.
