I hate Aldias keep. Holy shit. That was a pain in the ass. That damn dragon. Once I figured to run the -blam!- away when it breathes fire I rekt him. Those damn ogres

I just played Aldia's for the first time in a year, and even though I kinda remembered it, I still got the shit scared out of me by that last ogre. My wife thought it was pretty funny lol.

Lol yeah. The thing about the dragon is that you have to resist the urge to lock on, control your cam manually. And yeah, to hell with those ogres. I liked the room of mirrors behind the stairs with the 4 man dark spirit fight though. That was fun. I made the mistake of letting Veldaan out while I was hollow though, now he's just being a pain in my ass popping up everywhere. As much of a pain as Aldia's Keep was, nothing compares (personally) to the Shrine of Amana. -blam!- that place.

Dragonrider bow with strength my friend ;) 2-3 shot everything and I even used it whole time for demon of song. (And I was a tank )

I use the Alonne great bow w/Ring of Blades +2/red tear stone ring. I can kill the king giant with it easily inside of 5 minutes.

I just killed him today. I killed him in 20-30 ish casts. Which is less time I'm sure. Main reason I went Mage is because got a bit tired of spending souls for arrows (ironically learn that resonant spells cost souls too -,-)

Takes me about 40 arrows to down him. It costs me about 50,000 for 250 destructive great arrows, which if you've farmed that spot you know that 50k takes no time to get. The destructive arrows that Vengarl sells are the hardest hitting in the game. I think.

Never tried that bow due to it appearing like the dragon slayer bow in the first one with those arrows. Too long to draw and damn expensive

It hits like a hammer though. And the thing is I hit 270 with it with zero stamina, which doesn't sound like a lot, but you have to take into account that that's bonfire +7. So you need no stamina to use it, and it hits hard. It's really only useful for that spot though, I have nashandras bow and the dragonriders bow for everything else

I should add that it's a super effective farming spot. 500,000 souls every 5-10 minutes basically foolproof w/unlimited bonfire ascetics

I'm running a str/dex build but lately I've been putting more into my int/faith. Just kind of messing with magic for fun. Vig -40 Sta-20 End-31 Atn-11 Str-96 Dex-46 Adp-10 Int-31 Faith-35 I think that once I get my magic up there...bam lol

Yeah, invest into attn trust me it helps :p goes from 12 soul spears to 18 :p

I don't find my soul spears do that much damage though, what am I missing?

You leveled your staff? I've got +10 and infused it with magic, I think it also does more damage with high intellect , mine does around 600 damage with a ring on

Ugh I think the witchtree branch is the only staff I leveled. Which one are you using? I've found and bought almost everything in the game, chances are I have one or know where to find it.

I use the staff of wisdom, it's the strongest staff for pure sorcery but beware you can't use hexes or miracles with it, only sorcereries, the sorcery clutch ring is good to have aswell

I'm also a bit fuzzy on how infusing a weapon with magic works. I understand infusing fire, lightning etc, but what does magic do?
