I just wanted to say (i admit i didn't read the post, i came here via a link) that people use auto rifles in crucible the most because: All the maps in the most popular game modes are pretty low-mid range, hence the Auto Rifle is the ideal weapon for basicly over half the maps. When the huge moon map and the mars map were still in control, the scout rifle dominated easily. And from what i saw, Bungie based their nerfs on statistics, which is stupid.
