Explain to me how religion is an emotion.

I meant it as a joke, because hundreds of wars have been fought over religion, so I just went with the most destructive thing I could think of

I am not religious... But I do think that being religious has it's benefits. For ex: people are more motivated bc they think that they will make it into a heaven/hell.
