For me, that's actually part of my problem. I see a lot of sense and logic on both sides of the fence.
I am a fairly deep thinker and pondered and fought over this subject for many years, but as it is actually a battle of logic and theories, I was never able to stand to one side and say this is where I am.
In time I just let go, and just accepted I really don't know where we came from, or in fact where we're going. I'm lazy to delve in specific argumental points to promote or defend a particular theory of concept, purely because it's parroting and promoting someone else's "theory". Wether it be science or a heartfelt and convinced religious standing, in the end, we don't know the roots of a determined concept or idea, because it's all just theories.
Science may be able to come up with a fantastic manner of scientific investigation or whatever, but it wasn't too long ago that we thought the world was flat. I also find that the scientific community is particularly biased against a creationist standpoint. Wether it is a potential or not, there must always be a point in science where they need to admit they don't actually know instead of offering up more theories to fill in the gaps of what they can't figure out.
I do have a lot of respect for Scientists who dedicate their lives in their profession, but I'm also respectful of people I knew who dedicate their lives for other people. Obviously that may be a different type of pursuit, but it's a dedication nonetheless.
Appreciate your respectful response.
