To all those 'thorn is not OP' posts.
You guys always say its not the gun, but its the player's fault. I disagree. This gun can put the best crucible player to the ground with 2 headshots. This gun IS overpowered and you thorners just don't want it nerfed.
If you want to flame me for not being good in crucible, go ahead. Idc, my skill is higher than yours anyway. I still have to see an flamer with a higher kd here...
Edit: all these scrubs flaming don't want their thorn nerfed.... ;)
Edit: most of you guys could only whine about 'lucky' headshots, so i changed that.
Yet another Edit: i'm not saying that the thorn owns me, i outgun them 80% of the time. But that doesn't take away the fact that its too powerful. A simple stability or range nerf should suffice.

Imagine a guy who beats a gun 80 precent of the time then complains about the same gun being OP and adds the gun can kill even the best players in 2 shots. IB was full of thorn users and because of IB his KD dropped drastically. In other words, thorners wrecked him hard and sweet, yet he claims to beat thorners 80 percent of the time. Piece of advice: you gonna make up a story, think before write it.

5 RepliesPlease just stop posting Nerf requests - its getting ridiculous. We all get it - you died in iron banner - oh noes! Must be the guns fault. Here's the thing - the only "valid-ish" arguments stem from a ttk perspective. Essentially what you all have been asking for is that every gun in the game needs to be the same ttk... Why in the world would you want this?! Different guns have different perks for different play styles - each one can counter the other. If you want every gun to have the same ttk, then please do us all a favor and go play COD? or something with a default load out. The problem with this argument is that you nerfers fail to understand the concept that some guns are great for pvp and some are great for pve - you use the right tool for the job. Thorn is not that great in PVE, but great in pvp - same goes with a black hammer for PVE, and an ESpear for PVP. Right tool for the job - not every gun was designed for PVP, same goes with PVE - just learn the effing difference and play the game.

1 ReplyMan I quit using Thorn once I got Hawkmoon because it takes no skill at all. I get way more kills with Thorn so much easier it's not even fun. That's how I know it needs a nerf. Thorn is obviously a noob's wet dream.

I don't use the thorn. But I don't really think it needs to be nerfed. In Crucible it's fine. I like my Fatebringer.

4 RepliesDon't play crucible much but played IB all week to try it out (had no boosters to start and got to 50 points shy of Rank 5) and I probably got killed by Thorn 10-15 times the entire week. Didn't seem like much of an issue to me. I even tried mine for a few matches and it didn't make me magically good or anything.

I don't have thorn. I hate thorn. Thorn annoys me more than anything else in PvP, with absolutely no exceptions. I even agree that it is a bit OP. [spoiler]I still don't think it should be nerfed.[/spoiler]

2 RepliesPeople forget that the thorn was madly over buffed months ago. It had more character then, I stopped using it after that patch. It's way too easy a gun now. They upped the mag by 50% increased the stability [i]and[/i] the reload speed. All of that was unnecessary, and I hope they revoke at least the majority of the buff.

16 RepliesIf it destroyed your control KD you should have learned to counter it. Thorn is not overpowered. Red death, hungering blade, and healing with an orb are some easy ways to counter it. Hawkmoon is a 2 shot kill almost exclusively, and I don't have to wait on a dot to put you down. The only reason people don't complain over the Hawkmoon is because [b]People that play PlayStation aren't 12[/b], hell, I may as well dismantle hawkmoon once Xbox players get it. ;-;

5 RepliesPVP Nerf is required! The gun is utterly ridiculous and the impact combined with the burn makes it just stupid! I was getting 2 shotted by lvl 27 and 28's in IB which is outrageous as I'm sure power is meant to count... I'm not one to cry nerf, but where everything else has been utterly ruined I.E. Auto Rifles, Fusion Rifles, Shotguns, it has set the precedent for nothing to be able to counter it, even if you do manage to kill said Thorn User, the likelihood is the Ridiculous after burn will! Address this please Bungie!
