To all those 'thorn is not OP' posts.
You guys always say its not the gun, but its the player's fault. I disagree. This gun can put the best crucible player to the ground with 2 headshots. This gun IS overpowered and you thorners just don't want it nerfed.
If you want to flame me for not being good in crucible, go ahead. Idc, my skill is higher than yours anyway. I still have to see an flamer with a higher kd here...
Edit: all these scrubs flaming don't want their thorn nerfed.... ;)
Edit: most of you guys could only whine about 'lucky' headshots, so i changed that.
Yet another Edit: i'm not saying that the thorn owns me, i outgun them 80% of the time. But that doesn't take away the fact that its too powerful. A simple stability or range nerf should suffice.

I don't agree entirely with you, but I do think that some Hand Cannons should have their effective range adjusted. I've come across several players using Thorn and Hawkmoon as a sniper. I have tried it personally with Hawkmoon, and was able to land 2 to 3 consecutive head shots at very long range. In Thorn's case, this makes it feel over powered because of the poison damage, but I don't think that it is so. I've come up against it at closer ranges with several weapons and what dictated the outcome was my skill versus my opponent's skill.

8 RepliesHello, If you complain about the thorn and believe it needs nerfing, you are delusional. Your ego simply has to blame anything and everything but your lack of skills so you blame the thorn. If you think thorn ruins the game, go to college and some funding and create a game without the thorn in it. If you have earned a thorn and an enemy is wielding it then simply switch to your thorn and go one vs one with them. The skilled player will prevail. If you havent got a thorn to equip then i suggest you get good enough to complete the bounty. I have never seen so many delusional cry babies congregate in one corner of the internet than on here. If it was a game breaker you really think that the developers who show cased trials would let it slip? Theyd decimate every single one of you cry babies with or without it. The big dude with a beard who looked like something from hobbit was using a mida tool! A mida! And still pwning the testers. Triplewreck was using thorn and getting beat. Its a highly competitive game and you silly spoilt cry babies screaming for nerfs are ruining a game that is perfectly fine. Nerf your lack of skill and nerf your spoilt attitudes and get on with the game or go play cod where all guns are the same. I welcome tears, i welcome hate. Before auto rifle nerfs no thorn nerfs. Auto rifles get nerfed hard ( handcannons got nerfed too) now everyone uses hand cannons and pulse rifles. Everyone uses it must be op! They may nerf handcannons and handcannon users will suffer. Pulse rifles will be op. Everyone uses them after auto rifle and handcannons got nerfed. Notice a pattern? Stop the nerfs!!!

True it's a powerful gun But you've just got to be smart against someone wielding it... Try moving around a bit more and crouching, if you get enough good shots in that will disrupt their aim. Got to get in there first.

2 RepliesI'd have to say thorn is pretty overrated (my opinion) if you miss a head shot it's over dot won't kill you unless you land both head shots, in iron banner yesterday the group I was running with lost to a group of thorn users we stayed in the lobby and changed our strategy and ended up whooping that ass. It all depends on player skill and preferences for weapons, hand canons are absolutely brilliant if you land headshots, the last word is the only one that kinda allows you to miss headshots because of full auto. (And maybe hawkmoon) Thorn- good yes we all know it and we all see posts about it and how it should be nerfed I don't think it should be. It can be beat if you're skilled enough to use cover and not run back out(common knowledge) after it hits you with one headshot, yes the thorn takes skill but if you're going against a red death or hawkmoon and you don't land those headshots you will lose the gun fight simple strategy can take any weapon down and not getting caught in kill lock. (Trying for revenge) Hawkmoon -probably the best hand cannon in the game (my opinion) if you miss your headshot you do have 3 luck in the chamber rounds so that body shot can make up for the headshot you missed if you get it. It's simple strategy that helps people in the game my two to the morgue can out duel a felwinters lie any day if "if" I play smart, if people keep crying nerf and don't figure out how to become skilled pvp players and learn simple strategies instead of running around like a chicken without its head the pvp will be burned to the ground. If you guys wouldn't mind checking out the rolls on my two to the morgue and against all odds should be on my titan and let me know what you think I'd greatly appreciate it, remember it takes skill and some luck in pvp but play start not like animals. Stay thirsty my friends.

I like this gun, it has an exotic feel to it and for me at least, I don't feel it's OP at all. That being said during this last week of IB, while I was matched with a game inprogress and the team was loosing I decided to give the last word a try. I had had if for a very long time. Using it then and giving it a try made perfect sense seeing as the score was just ridiculous anyways. That being said, once I got the hang of using it I find myself usin the last word now and leaving my thorn at home. TLW while being used correctly is just insane damage. Signed, A reformed Thorn user

4 RepliesThorn may be a bit OP, but it is an exotic for a reason and hard to get imo. Bad players will benefit, sure, but only a bit. TLW and Red Death are great to use also and some may find those OP too. Love all three btw. Even if you would nerf the crap out of these guns you will still not have a balanced crucible. Supers, heavies, nades, ammo, lag, spawns, maps, pulse rifles you name it. There's always something. I hated shotguns far more than these primaries and I love how the special ammo flow is right now and heavy could maybe show up less or give less. Other than that the crucible is fine by me.

4 RepliesI have Thorn, and I think it should be nerfed, along with TLW and Hawkmoon. These three guns are the reason everyone is being 2-3 shot in crucible. Nerfing them is for the good of crucible, not just the people getting killed by them. Because really, people here at such hypocrites. They say "crucible sucks because I get one-shot by everything", and yet they don't want guns like the above to be nerfed. Why are people here so stupid.
