A good scientific mind questions everything, even theories; as a believer should question their chosen spiritual path. Only through scrutiny can we gain depth of understanding. I'm Christian and have no problem with evolution. To discount our spiritual nature or scientific observation is narrow minded

We all have free will and a mind to come to our own conclusions
-
Agreed. I just care if my conclusions are true.

As we all should, we're not as different as you might think. We're perhaps only separated by our personal experiences and observations. Best to you

I guess I would want more than just a personal experience. Especially when the opposing viewpoints has mountains of evidence and has been directly observed, used to make successful predictions and has been tested for years without fail.
-
To me there is nothing oppositional between what you refer to as viewpoints, only misinterpretation. I am a person of science and faith, these are not necessarily antonyms
-
Not to you, but to creationists.
