I would completely agree, except that you included Obama in your argument FOR America.
Obama is a -blam!-ing Socialist at best.
America is historically and always WILL be an anti-socialist/ communist/ Marxist state.
Change the O and we can have a laugh together. Otherwise, take your Gally back to the Vikings and kindly set yourselves on fire. (Funeral pyre- don't kill yourselves.)

In their respective governments. We don't have socialists, technically. Even if we did, their views wouldn't align with what we refer to as "right" and "left" wing. And let's not pretend for one single instant as if Republicans or Democrats as parties believe in ANYTHING, let alone a concept as complete as Socialism. If you call your self a Democrat or Republican and aren't a politician, you generally (not exclusively, but GENERALLY) believe whatever the media tells you to believe. If you're a Democrat or Republican and you ARE a politician, you believe whatever you're PAID to believe. Simple facts.

What country are you from? You've just described at least a portion of literally EVERY country's history, on the entire planet for as long as there have been countries. Hell, even as long as there have been large enough groups of nomads to be considered a certain and definable people group. Seriously. Every. Single. Country. Ever.

I don't think that is relevant. Obama is nowhere near communist or marxist. Some of his fiscal policies might be more socialist than America has seen but he's still keen on capitalism. Aside from that I'd say the marriage and marijuana reform are quite characteristic of America's capricious portfolio, albeit long overdue.

Capricious? Definitely. America is unfortunately extremely susceptible to mob mentalities. Wherever the crowd goes, everyone wants to go. Whatever the media says, the majority take at face value. Hell, statistics say that Americans always vote for the more handsome president. Ugh.
