Skirmish feedback

This is feedback regarding recent skirmish matches that I feel should be addressed. This is not a conversation topic. #1. Teammates being afc. I have never known any multiplayer games in the past twenty years which has not had this issue with players, but the recent crackdown on afc's is clearly not enough. I just went through multiple skirmish matches where inactivity was recorded by a single user on my team for over 1 minute. The punishments need to be escalated since this is clearly still not a deterrent. #2. Force player proximity. I have dived up and down across multiple years on this, but players should be killed if they are outside of a certain radius of any teammates and points subtracted from the scoreboard for every death because of that "misadventure". I rarely run into multiple matches where someone would rather admire the scenery then play the match, but I've run into it multiple times in just the past hour. You are not in PvE. Play the match and be a good teammate or let JIP get me a teammate who will. You are ruining my experience and all players experience by not participating or worse: Purposely walking forward, not shooting, and dying continuously which is clearly a form of stat boosting since friends now line up on either team. #3. If a player performs terribly and gets reported for "Unhelpful" and "Unfriendly" they cannot be paired up with the same player again. I utilize Xbox Submit Player Review because of this just to cover all the possible bases, but I literally ran across nine players back to back to back after I left and reentered matchmaking afterwards. There are times I want to have fun with players like that, but if I'm at the point I'm hitting the "Report Player" option for the negative sides? I clearly should not be getting paired up with them. I report people for being very skillful with their map movements and positioning, but I find a good chunk of matches I simply leave and quit out because my teammates are dying left and right to vex or TLW when they are trying to stand in the open with an AR because the game is not balanced. I want a competitive match. I want all players with the same loadouts and the same guns because the kill times on those guns means quick death progression. Finding someone with a sniper rifle on Shores of Time, Venus and is in shotgun territory with it out is why I report them. I do not want baggage for teammates and I'm fine leaving and re-searching till I get a good match. It's the only power I actually have after all. But I absolutely cannot stand people who don't use their heads before their OP gun. Every competitive player on the planet is the same way. It's highly frustrating to depend on someone when they can't even understand the loadouts are never balanced. You have to get better guns before you enter those matches. Halo 3 and Gears of War actually had that solution: Ranked and Social. You didn't enter ranked if you didn't know what to do because lots and lots of times? You'd be told to leave the playlist for causing a team loss which impacted the other players total rank standing. Eventually? You can't be part of those players search categories anymore. Halo: reach even had a great concept of a system: Individual performance rating. The issue has been, and continues to be: Teammates needing to be trusted on most competitive matches... and they aren't trustworthy. There needs to be that separation. No one wants to complete bounties and can't get a single kill against competitive players because a teammate ran forward, died, and then you get team shot. Teamwork has been and continues to be the hardest thing to find in ANY matchmaking FPS game. It's the one of the many things discussed and openly expressed across twenty years. #4. Lack of knowledge is no excuse for going .25 or less when combined with assists in a match. If someone is dying that often in a multiplayer match? They need to be suspended for a little bit. That is 1 kill every 4 deaths even with assists calculated in. If a player has 5 kills and 21 deaths with no assists? They need to be removed. Purposely walking forward and dying that often is stat boosting at that point. This is not farmville or any social media game. You are in a FPS to help out your teammates in a crucible match. If you aren't going to help them? You shouldn't be allowed to play for a short time. That's all I got. Sorry for the long speech and all, but I'm not going back into skirmish for a long time now. figure I'll go help out a Crota's End hard mode raid group because this is something which is absolutely frustrating. For one hour I've had to deal with those things above. No one wants to be put into a situation where they have to stop enjoying what they enjoy just because of someone else not being capable enough to be trustworthy. We don't do it in my line of work outside of gaming and it begs to question why anyone would ever go into such situations and cause that much harm to someone elses experience. I don't see blame on anyone so much as I see the need for improvement on a few selectable areas within crucible and FPS matchmaking capabilities. These problems exist everywhere, but it is without a doubt the most frustrating part of why people don't do multiplayer and love games like skyrim and borderlands where it's player versus environment. I love that draw because I never have to worry about anyone besides myself. Raids? Different story. This? This is fixable if they would put the quality controls in place to ensure the situations don't pop up.
