I'm American and I want a Canadian weapon. Why? Because they're basically America, but better at everything.

Ehh not really

Ehhh not a school essay

*essay.

Make it fire a Moose with Moose Pack Rounds!
-
Nah, if you put a Canadian flag on it, you would have to make an audible "sorry, eh?" After every shot.
-
Not in GDP.
-
Yeah, but too bad the United States owes $18 trillion in debt. Canada's national debt currently stands at $1.2 trillion and is shrinking.
-
It's OK.....we weren't planning on paying it back.
-
Our GDP is 10x more then Canada, so that is to be expected.
-
Actually, were only 6 trillion in debt, but 18 trillion is our military budget. God damnit, America...
-
Lol, and that matters how exactly?
-
Except those taxes. Yeesh
-
Honestly, I'm willing to pay more in taxes since it covers healthcare and a far superior education system.
-
But you are right about the education system. Our education system sucks. Mostly because we keep pushing NCLB and race to the top and standardized testing on the students, despite consistent feedback from the actual educators who pretty close to unanimously state that these practices are ineffective and downright harmful to students. That, and our culture demonizes intellect
-
Terrible healthcare. my healthcare costs $80 a month. Waaaaay less than I would pay out in inflated taxes were i to move 10 minutes across the border into Canada. And i get much better services. Don't get me wrong I think Canada does many things much better than the US and the U.S. Govt is just about the most incompetent organization. However Im educated about the downfalls of socialized healthcare, or socialized anything for that matter. Our govt can't get a single thing right, I trust the free market with my health every single time
-
Say what? Do some research. Explain why people feel the need to cross the border for routine medical needs if the health care is so much better in Canada.
-
I can't hear you over the 15.4% of Americans who don't have healthcare. This isn't hard.
-
No health care or no insure no policy. I thought it was a law that hospitals cannot turn away patients with no onsurence

Edited by Schuzzle6utt: 4/26/2015 7:12:34 PMLike it or not, health care is a business in the United States. Yeah, if it's an emergency and you need to be treated for something right away they will rush you to a hospital and operate on you right away. However, if you do not have any insurance you will be stuck with a bill in the thousands if you're lucky. If you need to stay any extended amount of time, well that's too bad, you don't have any insurance, and that means that the hospital isn't getting paid. Unless you can pay the hospital out of your own pocket you will be discharged early without all of the care you need to properly heal and a massive bill that you won't be able to pay back. This is a very common problem in this country.
-
You forgot to factor in who those 15.4% are. It's a choice

The American Military would decimate Canada's, which is closer to what the OP was talking about. He just wanted a flag to represent his country why the hell did this turn into a political debate? On a video game forum no less.

1. Who cares? We're allies anyway, and the only reason America has such a strong military is because we're the self appointed "world police", and that hasn't exactly worked out well. 2. It's inevitable. I made a joke (albeit based firmly on some truth) and some people responded. I am also very tired since I just got off a midnight-10am shift and am lacking better judgement at the moment. (probably why I responded in the first place)
-
I will agree the world police stuff is stupid, I don't care if all the Middle East countries want to kill each other, have fun! But I think americas military is so strong because of the Cold War, China and North Korea. We've always got a reason to stay strong. If it was up to me I'd pull all of our military back, close the borders and let the rest of the world do whatever they want. I feel ya on the late night post you make and you realize you just started a debate you didn't want nor have the energy for lol.

Free healthcare means large wait times. You wait months for an operation here in Canada and it's free. Or pay up and get it done in the states that day.
