What this shows is that a part of the game that you play once or twice a week is comparable to something you can play all week.
What bungie has decided to do is dump all of their remaining resources into the crucible to make it more appealing to the community.
Think of raids like auto rifles the game was centred around them... People needed them to gear up. Now think of crucible like pulse rifles, underused so they needed a 9.7% buff to damage to make them more appealing to use.
Now I love my bad juju... But will I love the new crucible- probably not.
