That's just our galaxy people. There's hundreds of billions of galaxies in our universe. That's a lot of potential for life. We're not special snowflakes.

Edited by dendrox: 4/23/2015 2:55:19 PMThere are obviously extraterrestrials, it's highly highly highly highly unlikely that we are alone in this gigantic universe where we are nothing but an unnoticeable speck. I can not believe that there are still people who believe that there are no extraterrestrials, they must not understand the true scale of the universe. I'll scale it down to something understandable. If you shrink every single star down to the size of an atom, you could probably fill up the entire Earth and still not have enough space. That's just stars, it's estimated that stars have an average of two planets each. Of course they won't all be habitable and all habitable ones won't have life much less intelligent life on our level, but the numbers are still unimaginably gigantic.
