no, you don't understand what I said. if I see tire tracks but no vehicle I'm still fine with you saying a vehicle was there, as there is evidence of it.

fair enough. On a slightly related topic, do you believe that space is infinite?
-
of corse it is. space is simple nothing. matter, however, is not. if it were you could destroy or create it as infinity - 1 is infinity and infinity + 1 is infinity.
-
Exactly, if there is an infinite number of planets in space, then it will be impossible for there not to be other intelligent life. Even if you definitely did not believe in anything other than what you see, you would have to admit that the presence of an infinte number of possible habitats means that there will be other life, which will later evolve into more intelligent life.
-
yes, but we don't have infinite matter, we have a finite amount of matter as far as we are aware. I'm not going to operate on knowledge we don't have, I'm going to operate on knowledge we do.
-
That is if you are following our idea of physics. These planets will have different physics. They might have time pass longer that here, they might be able to operate with less or even without matter(they might just be a consciousness without a body)
-
ok, that is a claim. can you support that claim with evidence, or will it remain a claim?
-
On top of that, it is possible that the other forms of life can survive in very extreme climates, so that multiplies the probabilities exponentially
-
Also, they might have infinite matter, especially if you believe that black holes lead to a different dimension. For they may be in this other dimensuon
