Ultimate is way better then the other hellsing series.

Not sure, I know it was hellsing, just not sure which one, haven't watched it yet either.

Ultimate is an OVA with ten episodes of about forty minutes each, except the hour-long finale. It follows the original manga down to the last dot of ink essentially. The old TV series followed the manga for a little bit before going its own way. But the big differences between the two for me are the style and animation.
