That's what Halo Follower's thinking too, believe it or not. I mean, colonies disappearing overnight. Could this mean that Jul got his hands on a few composers?
-
No. The threat is Forerunner related. Jul's Covenant may assist this threat, but they're not going to be responsible.
-
Yeah, and that Forerunner Phaeton gunship thing from Mega Bloks with that mysterious Promethean might be hints at what's to come for Halo 5.
-
Hint? Nah man, it was what's going to come in Halo 5.
-
Yes. Like the Ur-Didact said, "The Forerunners have returned." When I first heard that in Halo 4 it gave me goosebumps.
-
Doubtful, since the Composer's Forge had a bit of a Halo ring dropped on it. Apparently there are anomalies appearing in deep space, and the Forge maps in the Halo 5 beta on Installation 05 (and potentially other installations) are mysterious structures which have been appearing - so Jul definitely appears to be activating long-dormant technology.
-
But what could the tech be? New sentinels? New Prometheans? Forerunner Dreadnoughts (Halo Wars)? Or, could it be something that is Forerunner related, but far worse than the stuff that I mentioned.
"I know what the Librarian will say, Glassman. She will tell us where all things sacred are hidden in this galaxy. Ships, weapons, bounties beyond our imagining."
He knew about what the Janus Key would lead to before he even knew what the Key was, so this is what he's after - technology to uplift his people. It's probably going to tie back to what Guilty Spark said in CEA's Terminals about the "long plans" the Forerunners had in case of their tools being turned against them.
