I'd rather no raid at all than a half assed raid. Crota's end is, at best, a 30 minute run and gun experience. It's basically a strike that lasts a bit long. If bungie can't come up with a Fallen raid that lasts longer than an hour with complex thinking puzzles and not just shooting a lot of enemies, they shouldn't bother. I'm not talking about a rehash of VoG, just use it as inspiration. It takes a lot more teamwork to complete VoG than it does CE, and if bungie can't achieve even half of the technical skill it took to create VoG in a new raid, they can keep it.

The draw to the raids for me was the ability to play with 5 friends in a pve setting. I guess that goes out the window with this new expansion.

I think that's why a lot of players still do VoG as it is a team based activity that requires everyone to know their role and if someone goes down, to know that other person's role and assume it if necessary. I know I don't have may raid completions because of various reasons but I would much rather have one VoG completion than 3 or 4 CE completions as I feel more satisfaction in completing VoG than CE

That's why I'm glad I have three friends that raid with me every time and we don't allow the two randoms we pick up from the forums to waste time doing that. :-) Xur sells heavy ammo synth every time now, and weekly heroics have matchmaking. No more reasons not to have synth, even if you play minimally.
