In 8th grade, girl says "Isn't Japan a part of China?"

This was Freshman Year.

1 ReplyLast Monday, my mom came to school to help out at a snack table (and no, she isn't humiliating). While she was running it, these two girls (one of which I knew) sat down at a table in the cafeteria near the snack table. The two girls got on the topic of music (these girls are massive One Direction fans). Eventually, they start talking about American Idiot by Green Day. "Yeah, this song has a lot of language in it. It's kind of bad" the one I knew said. My mom overheard the conversation and the two girls looked at my mom like a cow looks at an oncoming train. "You're not gonna tell out parents, are you?" The other girl asked. "No, sweetie. You do realize that I listened to Green Day when I was a teenager, right?" she said, knowing what the girls would say after this. "Wait, so Green Day is like, old?"
