OK, so, every week there is a post asking why Ascendant Materials are still given away in Nightfall, when all the endgame players have moved on to Radiant mats for their Crota raid gear. The fact is, not everyone (almost no-one, in fact) is an end-game player. Less than 20%, in fact. So Nightfall will continue to give out regular old ascendant materials. Because those of us with Legendary gear still need them to upgrade. And when House of Wolves is released, I'm sure we will have tones of cool new stuff to upgrade with them. But there is a way that Bungie can make them useful for everyone. Here is my simple suggestion: Either- A) Let Eris Morn convert Ascendant to Radiant materials, Charge a fee if you like. Or B) Make Crota raid gear accept either type of upgrade material. Problem solved, and everyone gets a useful Nightfall reward. I think it's worth considering.
