Some people like to lean on it when they're having a rough time. They make excuses to use. "I have anxiety" or "It helps with my anger problems" well work on them instead of using a drug! x) I know people also do the same with alcohol, but it's bad either way. Also it smells absolutely terrible and can ruin your chances of getting hired.

  • Okay, so I just looked it up and apparently they have proven that it doesn't kill brain cells. The reason I believed it had was because of past research. I did look it up now to make sure, and sorry about that. I haven't been up to date on the effects of weed, because for the longest time articles have said otherwise.

  • Look up hash oil or dabs. It's curing cancer man. After my dad passed almost a year ago of lung cancer it's been my life duty to prove to ppl you're more healthy with thc than without it. It's curing epilepsy, PTSD, cancer, and even leukemia. Oh and diabetes. Yes. Curing. YouTube "stoned kids" vice documentary. The world is changing. Your care to research and open mind is the world changing.

  • Try to be unbiased when you look into research and studies. If you're just trying to find things backing your claim of weed being benifitial, you will likely miss the truth. I agree with your points for the most part tho

  • I have nothing against it being used to cure cancer or being used for real medical problems. I think that's great, and if it works then it should be used.

  • Go government can control what I put in my body. N shouldn't. Holland legalized all drugs and they're addiction rate is down more than 50 percent. Prohibition never works. Even with hard drugs homie. Why make drug laws when our government is in with the bankers and cartels? And I'm from a marine family. I have first hand observation that marine detail includes guarding the heroin production in Afghanistan.

  • I've done research on it, so I wouldn't come off as ignorant. What's your excuse?

  • Turns out you are right. I looked it up and new research proves it doesn't kill brain cells. I'll admit I was wrong. I'm glad I know now, so you learn new things everyday.

  • You are correct in that people can become dependent because of using a substance to "numb" emotional distress. But as you said, any substance can be used that way and so i think that is more of a mental health issue.

  • Well I feel the majority of drug users do use it that way or smoke daily. If someone maybe did it once in a while, then I suppose it wouldn't bother me. I mean it is super risky and it is irresponsible, but if someone wants to then I can't stop them.

  • Most drug users I know take them infrequently, myself included. Everything in moderation. For example I've used cocaine a handful of times since 2011. The last time was October last year. At the moment I'm in a straight arrow stage because exams are looming and I've got too much to do -- I've not so much as had a pint of beer in over 3 weeks. Just because someone takes drugs it doesn't make them a junkie. Addiction is a choice IMO.

  • I don't believe everyone is a junkie, and I know some people can handle it while getting good grades and having a good job. That's not everyone but I'm glad you can. I won't ever support use of any drugs because I know how bad they can be. However I won't call everyone a junkie that does drugs. As long as they prove they aren't. =)

  • I don't think everyone has the right mentality to take drugs personally. Some people just can't say no. And society's nature dictates we must walk as slow as our slowest person so they ruin it for the ones who can say no.

  • No it doesn't. I've smoked weed since I was like 14. I'm now 26, graduated college with a degree in computer programming, and work as a software developer making a 6 figure salary. And guess what? I smoke weed every day.
