Why are you against weed?
I am simply curious as to what the more popular reasons are for people who are against the use of cannabis.
So if you are against it, what is your reason?

Numerous studies have shown that marijuana increases the willingness to attempt to take other drugs (hence the infamous gateway drug). So please, think before you smoke.

I'm not against it, I just don't smoke it. I don't know why , but I don't like the high. I couldn't care less if other people smoke it.

There are a few people I know who smoke it once in a while to unwind and relax at home. They aren't hurting anyone and they are safe at home. It's not hindering their lives or putting anyone in danger. Then there are some people that I know who smoke 24/7. It's sad and annoying. I don't bother with them at all. I don't need to be around someone who can barely function because they want to get high all day.

7 Repliesbecause weed is a gateway drug. It leads to other drugs and don't tell me "natural anti-depressants" are good. You know nothing about anti-depressants. They ruin your mind and leave you in utter depression. Once you start smoking too much weed or tobacco its really hard to stop. Though I don't smoke but I've witnessed it. My father smoke a lot.

1 ReplyI feel there are too many hippies that take it too far as to start their own church like the church of the universe, whatta bunch o' BS. I've smoked since i was a freshman in HS And Graduated with no problems and not moving on to other drugs. Some people can handle it some can't i feel it varies from person to person. But i don't plan on smoking my entire life, i intend to become a firefighter therefore i don't hve a medical card so it doesn't shows up on my records. And when college starts i will stop smoking to pursue a career and grow up. It's ok to smoke for a bit of your life but Don't 420 blaze it everyday all day blowing your checks on weed because your broke ass will end up underneath a freeway bridge, homeless, totally getting stoned bro!

1 ReplyI watched my older siblings throughout my childhood act like fools and smell like shit the entire time. Then in high school I watched my friends act and smell the exact same way. Then in college. Then after college. Even now some with children and families I see those little sparks of foolish behavior rear their ugly heads. I've never tried it. And I really don't see a need. If there is some medical benefit then it should be controlled and taxed like everything else. But keep that shit away from me.

4 RepliesI smoke Marijuana every day , thank god its legal in Michigan (medical) I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 14 and , been on few different types of medication Finally found the right mixture of meds and now I'm seizure free and have been for 3 years and counting 10 pills a day at the moment. This is where the Marijuana comes in and saves the day with all the side effects from the pills I take makes everything bearable .

I don't smoke weed but I'm not against it. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a whole lot different than alcohol in principle. As long as it's used in moderation, it's fine

I know someone who owns a staffing company and they always know if they smoke weed. They aren't as aware and don't do as well on their tests. A lot of companies do random drug screens. Those are my reasons.

From what I've seen it appears most who use it goes to being a straight pot head. I'm against the abuse of it as well as driving and showing up to work high.
