Why are you against weed?
I am simply curious as to what the more popular reasons are for people who are against the use of cannabis.
So if you are against it, what is your reason?

2 RepliesWeed is relatively benign. Alcohol and prescription drugs kill more people than all illegal drugs combined. And alcohol is involved in more murders and accident fatalities than anything else. I say while opening a beer.

Because of asshats that advertise it like if it was healthy for you, people lacking the ability to use drugs in moderation, because of assholes that go to work under the influence and make it a living hell to get proper service, because of people making high claims of saying "it doesn't affect my driving, if anything I suddenly become a nascar driver", those people that insist everybody knows they do it, those pricks who managed to convince my 13 year old cousin that he should try it, for those dumbasses who actually have the decency to say that marijuana can cure cancer ( reason cancer is so hard to fight is because it's not any sort of infection or virus, it's literally your cells incorrectly replicating and leaving strands of incorrect data to keep being replicated. Due to this happening the only wait to fight is is to literally kill off cells, hence being shot up with chemotherapy. I will admit, it's helpful in easing the pain and some symptoms related to therapy. But there is not substantial evidence to make such a statement as the prior.) those assholes who are willing to walk around with their cloths saturated in the smell of weed(you're just as bad as those asshats who smell of cigarettes), those who get offended when you tell them not to do that shit around you and then blow the smoke right at you (I work at a hospital and if any of that shit has any chance of showing up I'm out of a job and will probably never get a job in the health field again), to those inconsiderate dicks who would even dare smoke in front of kids. These are the social aspects of why I can't support marijuana. I'd say other reasons, but I know how the potheads could get on these forums. To the 15% of you who are functioning adults who don't do any of this stupid shit, all the more power to you. But the majority of the crowd fûcks it up for you.

I'm for smoking it. I do so on occasion to mellow out. I know, it's smoke so it's not good for the lungs but my parents have smoked cigs around me for years, I know the risk. Also has anyone actually seen the Weed documentaries? If not, check it out. Sheds a bit of light on the situation. I'm open for debate and/or questions anyone may have.

I don't smoke. But it's not because I'm against it but because when I'm high, I'm useless. I just sit around and stare at the walls. I wouldn't be able to perform my job as an employee or a parent while high so I choose not to. However, if you are capable of doing these things while high, do it. Marijuana is no worse for you than cigarettes or alcohol. Also, marijuana should be legal.

6 RepliesI am against all drugs, they are unhealthy and ruin your body. On the same note I do not care if you do drugs, that is your choice and you can ruin your body if you want. Just be wary of others with asthma and people who just hate the smell.

1 ReplyIdk most drugs are bad like alcohol and tobacco but America has proven to be a giant alcohol during prohibition so those won't go anywhere. I think preventing weed is just preventing America from getting addicted to something else, and yes marihuana can be harmful despite having 2 medicinal properties but that argument is invalid considering the people who've made that argument to me don't even need it.

1 ReplyI have before, I don't plan to again. I don't care if you do, except not inside, smoke smells and ruins electronics. My first time was my accident, my roommate made pot brownies. You'd think she would have the decency to tell me, but no. I took two... big pieces, and ate them. Little while later I got what I'd imagine was the munchies, and the first thing I saw was the brownies, so I ate the rest of the pan.

1 ReplyIt's legal here in oregon and had been medically legal for a while. I don't smoke cause I am and army guy but my wife does. I really don't see a problem with it. I used to smoke when I was younger and it didn't make a difference in my ability to complete my goals. Still graduated early from high school. Went to college. Got a career ect. And when I get out of the military I'm gonna blaze a fat Doobie and continue my life.
