Omnigul is a joke in comparison to valus. 30% reduction still won't save that horrible strike.
I have all the exotics I could ever want. I play for fun. Cabal are not fun to fight. I would rather fight omnigul 5x back to back than valus once.

When the Omnighul strike comes up, it's usually a waiting game at the start. 3 guardians standing there looking and waiting to see if a ghost comes out! Will they go back to orbit and pop a scooter? Numerous times, I"ve popped my Tumbler, sped away, and then turned and looked back to see two guardians disappear. I keep going, someone almost always pops in later.

I'd choose valus over just about any strike, you can skip the bigger part of it and the parts you can't are easily cheesed

Rockets McDickface is tough, and takes quite a bit of damage. But overall, I think Cabal are the weakest/easiest to kill enemy in the game. I don't find them to be challenging at all. Sure, you ahve to shoot around a shield, but other than a handful of majors with rockets, they are very weak.

I haven't had many people leave Rockets McDickFace. More have left Omnigul with me than anything. And McDickFace is much harder to kill.
-
Harder to kill? At least you have cover in that strike. Omnigul doesn't let you in the same room without an as eating barrage of munitions coming at you.
-
I mean in terms of the damage they take. Shoulda been more specific.

I guess I'm always the first to back out of that one. I didn't even bother doing it last time it came up as no burn nightfall.
