In Halo Online, we are introduced to a few new variants of the M7 SMG. Since the game possibly takes place before Halo 4 or Halo 5, do u think that these SMG variants are prototypes of the SMG that we see in the Halo 5 Guardians Beta?

No. The variants in Halo Online still use caseless ammunition. Halo 5's variant doesn't. The SMG's in Halo Online are different variations of the Halo 2- and 3-era SMG's.

I haven't seen the SMG in Halo Online.

The base SMG in Halo Online is essentially just the H2A campaign SMG. All the rest are slight variations upon that.
