To be completely honest, I would rather run the Vault with all 30's wearing vault gear.
Implies at least a bit of experience, and the Perks are more useful.

To be honest the only gear worth using is the gaunlets maybe the helmet the other stuff dont do anything special. With that said two old and two new raid pieces will still get you to lvl 31.

I'm currently maxing out a full set of VoG gear that has perks to fit my playing style so that I can run VoG wearing full raid gear.

I just finished up mine last week on my Titan. I'll generally wear the helmet, because I don't care about being 32 (have all the Crota gear as well) and it looks way better

The VoG gear looks way better than the CE gear, in my opinion. That may just be what my style is, but oh well.

If you play Titan, the Vault gear looks great with Sunsetting. Jus' sayin'
