I'm a republican but at the moment I'm ashamed at my party, as well as ashamed at the democrats... The bush administration was way too hands off on Wall Street regulations. The fact that the treasury sec allowed and was okay with S&P stamp AAA rating on toxic debt and mortgages bundled up with limited risk debt is a crime to me... It is a major reason for the housing bubble crash. On the other hand... This current administration has had ample time to bring back big american companies from abroad, as well as their liquid assets. If Obama would just allow a one time tax on the money coming back it would A) bring back thousands and thousands of jobs and B) net about 370 billion in taxes on the trillions that are stock piled over seas. I don't care about ACA and all that shit. I care about financial stability and a balanced budget. And in 16 years, we just haven't seen it
