We might cure leukemia with nanobots this year

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3000904/Nanorobots-trial-begin-humans-Microscopic-DNA-devices-injected-leukaemia-patient-bid-destroy-abnormal-cells.html
Tiny robots that can swim in the bloodstream and attack diseases may sound as if they belong in a sci-fi film. But these so-called nanorobots are set to be used to treat a person who is seriously ill with leukaemia. The lead researcher behind the innovation hopes the patient could be cured within a month - and has already successfully tested the machines in animals.
• This is a very exciting thing. Imagine in the next 50, maybe even in the next 20 years everybody has nanobots in their blood streams. These nanobots can possibly add 50 years to every person's blood stream. Wouldn't that be grand.
