Not at all if players know good ways around a level difference. Of course you do less damage, but certain drops require just one person even at 31. A 32 can bring crotas shield down solo with 2 g rockets and a little primary. Infact a level 31 can almost fully bring down crotas shields solo with the same method. While I was playing i recall hunters using the sword more often than the other two classes. Which means with 5 31s removing his shield its quite easily doable as there is no difference between 5 31s with a ghorn over 5 32s with a g horn. All that extra damage to the shield for nothing. Yeah 31s will obviously also die quicker, but an experienced raider at Crota Checkpoint Hard should also know they shouldnt ever be taking damage once having left the force field crystal room. We have several different methods of beating crota that allow all members except the swordbearer to never take damage I also dont play the game anymore, so everything i messaged above could have changed with updates i know nothing of.
