Im 32 on all 3 classes, but whenever playing VoG i use VoG gear for its perks. Best example is when i run the relic on the templar. Using the gauntlets gets your super energy when killing oracles. Which is very usefull because you need your super to take down his Shield. Does it make me a lower lvl? Yes. Does it matter? No, not at all.

Being 32 does nothing to get you through vog faster though...

being 32 means that most of the time you'll have better weapons than a 30, which does get you through VOG faster

It really doesn't though, I'd sooner take someone at lvl 30 with vog gear and weapons than a 32 any day

Ok go into a raid on hard and do this test: Get to oracles and let a goblin snipe you (your dead) Its takes 2 goblin snipes to take out a 32. But you wouldn't know about that right now

yeah but most lvl 30s these days don't have a full set of VOG gear and are instead using vendor gear. Before the dlc dropped sure, but now most 30s are fairly new to the game with little to no raid completions or vog weapons. Now level for me is a better gauge of experience than just looking at a level 30 and being like ok you're at the level cap for this raid, you must be amazing.

You can take more damage. Which means you can take more bullets. Which means you'll stay alive longer. Which helps you get through it faster. Which means I'm right

Which means your wrong which means you and your friends suck at the game because you take too much damage and can't live off skill. Taking more damage does not make you run it faster if you don't die. In truth I've seen more 32's die than any other level because they take the raid for granted.

Why because I have a life and being a day one adopter I only have 5 days total play time on my account? Damn people with lives who have common sense to know being 32 or being 30 makes no difference on raid time clears in VoG since damage is all capped the same.
