Your friend was right, what he might not have told you is that compared to VOG (and some other older legendary weapons) 331 weapons mostly suck. Fate bringer is the best primary weapon in the game

Its hands down the best HC in the game. Now go tun VOG and get it.

It only does a few percent less damage than 331 hc's. Plus it has firefly, explosive rounds, and outlaw!!!
