Why are players quitting Destiny?

What do you guys think of this!? I've been noticing a HUGE decline in my friends who play Destiny still! Most of my REAL LIFE friends all stopped playing except me and others whom I met online have quit as well! Two of my old clans have vanished! My friends list slashed in half! EDIT: out of my old clan and 182 friends on PSN, all of which used to play destiny, there are 72 online and 2 of them are playing Destiny! So if this trend continues its going to be slim pickens! I feel like its getting worse by the day! **PLEASE BUMP THIS UP so Bungie will see this!*** Why do you think players are quitting? Do you know of anyone else who has quit? Chime in let us know why you will quit playing or not? Cheers! http://carykokujin.kinja.com/why-players-can-t-stop-playing-destiny-1648371358 http://youtu.be/y2Jx5__c1lY http://youtu.be/Y1OjUWw43co https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzopWRXK_r4 http://youtu.be/UZ5BpeHVTWY http://youtu.be/vWFBISbOFVs

 • It all boils down to one simple problem: Destiny was not the game you expected to be. Now I'm not talking about broken Bunjie promises, false advertising or any other crazy reasoning behind most topics. I'm talking about that obvious truth that can't be denied. Yeah, I get it, you're getting bored? You've hit a wall in playing Destiny? But how? Why? I'm sure no one thinks of this when they first start playing cuz when you look at it, it doesn't matter if your a "Day1" player who was not given content from gameplay trailers or just the casual who saw a YouTube commercial and thought "Hey an FPS from Bunjie, sounds promising" cuz in the end Destiny turns out to be very VERY different from the shooter games your used to. How many Call of Duty or Halo fans have actually played World of Warcraft? Runescape? Maybe Diablo or Skyrim? Imma tell you right now, the answer is slim to none. Although Destiny is NOT sculpted exactly the same as these games, Destiny still shares many familiar categories. The idea of a RNG rewarding system. Having to be logged onto internet at all times. Multiple online players who aren't NPCs. Group battles. Clans. So on and so forth, etc etc... Point is, Destiny is different. However, the majority of those who bought the game were not prepared for how it was actually going to play out. So these people leaving Destiny aren't quitters, they're not scrubs or whiners... They're just gamers who were either lied into Destiny or they completly fell for the over hype. Either way, there is no denying that a mass chunk of the community will be gone befoe House of Wolves and a majority of that number may never return. With all that being said, I love this game. I grew up playing this style and with the FPS addition I thinks it's genious. Granted, many things need to be addressed... Destiny was, and still is, a brilliant idea. I'll see you Guardians in the long run.
