I just wish they'd have leveled things out in crucible like they tried but killing them in PVE didn't make sense. I don't even use ARs in PvP at all I always was a hand cannon PVP user so all I noticed was hearing that suros pop, pop, pop a lot less but in PvE I don't understand why they nerf things. I know nothing about programming so maybe it was hard to separate the two but I always played around with things for bounties and suros and hard light I don't even use for patrols anymore use TTK is just too long. Used hard light for glimmer on exclusion forever now it's just bit worth it. Just like the vex it was soo much fun tearing it up on patrols now it just uses too much ammo. And is saved for solar burns.

Bungie's "reasoning" is that they do not want weapons to function differently in different game modes. They want each weapon to work the same across all game modes, and they do not want anybody to choose one gun for a certain game one just because it is much more effective in that area than anything else. Bungie does not want the guns to be situational. They want your favorite weapon to be able to follow you no matter what you May do. Its a good sentiment to have imo, But they go about it wrong. Nerfing ARs overall created more problems than it solved. If they had just nerfed it in PvP, or had nerfed It to a lesser extent in PvE, the auto rifle would work about the same in each. Instead we now have a semi-decent weapon type for crucible and a worthless weapon type for PvE.

  • They end up being situational anyway, just because different situations require different tactics, which in turn a different arsenal. But what you say makes complete sense thank you. And on another note it's nice to read a thoughtful and articulate response, not the usual crude, draped in sarcasm ones I've become used to.
