Sun goes supernova. Potentially vaporizes everything between it and anything in a radius up to Neptune. Besides how would lions exist in space? No food/air/mobility/thermal regulation. They would starve/explode/freeze by the time they made it to the sun... Then be vaporized before even getting close.
